Shipping and Delivery

New Zealand freight charges are $7.90 per item or $10.00 per extra large parcel.
Once your have made your purchase and payment has been confirmed.
For Main Land New Zealand we use PBT Couriers
Delivery within 1 – 5 Days: no delivery weekends and public holidays
Offshore Island Delivery by arrangement
Online Purchases can also be picked up in store.

Other Countries
We are happy to ship overseas, but overseas delivery is by special arrangement at this stage; we will always seek out the most cost effective method of freight and advise for approval before sending. Please email us at stevesfishingshop.co.nz to arrange. 

Please Note
While we will always try our very best to get your purchases to you as fast as possible, sometimes events both natural and unnatural such as weather, shipping companies, CUSTOMS, Airlines and Murphy’s law, can very occasionally be unpredictable and on rare occasions, cause delays. Should the unexpected happen we will keep you advised of any unforeseen circumstances.

Privacy And Security
We guarantee your privacy when you buy from us. We do not supply client names or contacts to anyone else. We do not ask for, or store credit card numbers for any reason.
Returns, Replacement & Exchanges

Faulty Goods
We personally inspect every order before shipping. However should any product be faulty we will do our very best to quickly resolve the situation for you by either replacement of the same, or if unable, with your approval, replace your purchase with an equivalent, or a refund.
If any product we sell is faulty we will of course meet our obligations under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act to ensure that you, the customer, are happy. In the event of a product being faulty no freight charges will be incurred when replacing the purchase. It has always been, and always will be, our policy to ensure that you are totally satisfied with your purchases.
Faults that appear in goods after use and that are within a warranty period, will need to be returned to Steve’s Fishing Shop, in some circumstance goods may have to be sent to the New Zealand Wholesalers for repair / replacement. Please return the goods to us and we will arrange this. Genuine faults will be covered by the manufacturers warranty, however faults caused by misuse or neglect may void the manufacturers warranty. Manufacturers warranty issues are dealt with by that product brand’s New Zealand wholesale company, and we will deal with any issues arising on your behalf.

Can I return / exchange items that I buy online at Steve’s Fishing Shop?
We are happy to exchange goods within 14 days with proof of purchase providing the goods are in their original condition, with the exception of undamaged sale price goods. Freight charges will apply.

Any product that is faulty will be dealt with under our faulty goods policy, see Faulty Goods. New Zealand customers can return items purchased online by either returning them to our retail store, along with a copy of your Steve’s Fishing Shop online packing slip as proof of purchase.
Or by be sending goods by courier to Steve’s Fishing Shop. Please include a copy of your original receipt with your contact details, and the details of the return / exchange.

Overseas customers can return items for a refund / exchange providing the goods remain in the same condition as when sent, and are returned within 14 days of your original order with a copy of your original online packing slip, to Steve’s Fishing Shop.
Please note: All returns remain the responsibility of the purchaser until received by Steve’s Fishing Shop. We recommend you courier your package back to us so you are able to track the parcel.

Will I have to pay another freight fee for return or replacement product?
Postage charges on returns are not refundable. If you are returning an item for exchange (i.e. the same brand is being exchanged for a different model) you are required to pay for outgoing freight. There is no freight to pay on replacement goods for a faulty product.

What is our refund policy?
Please contact us at Steve’s Fishing Shop if you are not completely satisfied with any of your purchases. Freight Charges will still be payable on returned goods that are not faulty

Stock Levels
There can be "runs" on some products, especially on seasonal goods. If an ordered product is out of stock we will reply by email to you within 24 hours giving an estimated time for its return to stock. However if it's displayed on the website it should be in stock.

Ordering
We recommend that you take a few minutes to create an account with us as it will allow you to log in and check on your orders, and see how they are progressing. Please follow the easy online instructions using the Shopping Cart and proceed to checkout, or contact us directly for alternative payment methods. Should you experience any difficulties, please contact us either by email or telephone.

Payment, Pricing & Promotions
Payment can be made by your choice of Shopify Checkout, Paypal or Bank Deposit / Internet Banking or credit card over the telephone, or contact us direct to make a manual bank deposit, or by posting us an order with a cheque. No goods will be posted until the product and shipping fees are paid for, or in the case of a cheque payment, the funds have cleared. Product remains the property of Steve’s Fishing Shop until full payment has been made. Cheque payments, please allow 5 working days for the cheque to clear.

Pricing
At the time of purchase the price stated is the price that needs to be paid. All prices include GST. Steve’s Fishing Shop, the Sports Cave (1985) Limited is GST registered and a GST receipt is issued with all purchases.

Promotions
We often have promotions. Keep watching the website to take advantage of them. Promotions are only valid for the advertised period of time.

We recommend that you take a few minutes to create an account with us as it will allow you to log in and check on your orders, and see how they are progressing.

Updating Account Information
If you log into your account, you can access your account information and update or edit it in our system.
Please do not ask us to access your account information, as we are unable to do this, however if you have lost your password, there is a password reset option on login which you can use to unlock your account via email and create a new password.
